Led by Nation Of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, the march was focused on brining Black issues to the national level, both social and economic. Many important speakers were featured at the event, including Rosa Parks, Dr. Cornel West, Maya Angelou, Mayor Marion Barry, and many, many more. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered at the National Mall to be a part of the rally.
