A Maltese cross paty constructed of a non magnetic metal, the obverse centre bears the crowned cipher WR (Wilhelm Rex), the reverse centre bears the inscription FR KRIEGSHILSDIENST (FOR WAR AID SERVICE), with a loop for suspension, on a white, red and black striped ribbon, measuring 41. 96 mm (w) x 41. 90 mm (h), very fine.
